selling tips

When preparing your property to look it’s best, take the time to inspect the good points and bad points.  We will advise from experience and knowledge, the best methods on achieving the best possible price for you home.

Exterior

Take the time to look at your home from an external perspective, peeling paintwork, dustbins and rubbish can be quite unsightly and will make your home look cheap.  Remember, the front of your property is the first thing a potential buyer will see, so make it stand out.

rooms

Make sure you have de-cluttered as much as possible, let your buyer visualise how there furniture may look. A quick hoover and dust will serve well and a scented candle will not go a miss.

the viewing

Many purchasers are different, some may take 10 minutes to look around your home, others may take an hour, take your time with viewings and be sure to have information at hand which you think may be helpful to your buyer (council tax rates, average costs for bills and local schooling are questions that are frequently asked).

animals

Keep pets out of the way for viewings, some people love animals where as others can become scared.  You want the focus to be on your home and not the pets.

transparency

Be transparent when selling your home, you want to be upfront from the start to avoid any disputes that may arise when you are further down the line.  A dispute with a neighbour or a structural issue are common areas where this may arise.  Speak to us, we can advise you the best way to handle these scenarios.
